Adam Metcalfe
Director / Owner
Adam first established AWSM Farming in 1996, taking over the running and agricultural operations of the 265-acre family farm. With a little hard work, vision and hands-on approach, Adam has overseen the growth in the Group of companies to what they are today. He continues to manage the day-to-day operations across the Group and values the contribution that all AWSM team members make to the continued success of the AWSM businesses.

Andrew ‘Sparrow’ Yarrow
Director / Farm Manager
Following graduation form Harper Adams and undertaking various agricultural roles, Andrew joined as a Director of AWSM Farming in 2011. Andrew heads up our own farming staff and the Contract Farming services we offer, which currently covers over 4,000 acres. He plays a vital role in ensuring farms are managed efficiently, delivering profitability of farms for both the customer and our business.

Andrew ‘Gibbo’ Gibson
Transport Manager
A graduate from the University of Life, Gibbo started life as a HGV driver for AWSM in 2016 and took on the role of our Transport Manager in 2019, ensuring the maintenance and efficient running of our ever-growing transport fleet. He plays a key role in the continued growth and success of our haulage business, strategically managing the logistics of feedstocks into and digestate out of our AD customers and waste management client base.

Edward Bennett
Environmental Manager / Lead Environmental Consultant
Edward joined the AWSM team as our Environmental Manager in 2022. With over 15 years of Environmental Consultancy experience in industry, he manages our digestate orders, associated land bank and oversees all aspects of Environmental Compliance across our operations. In addition, Edward leads our Environmental Consultancy team, successfully delivering environmental compliance and risk management services to clients in various sectors and settings.
