Types of digestate we haul:
We serve plants across the UK and are suitably licensed to efficiently handle all types of digestate including:
- PAS110 Digestate: This is digestate that has been produced and quality assured to meet the PAS110 specification, meaning it has achieved end-of-waste status and can be used as a product rather than a waste material, provided it meets the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Waste Digestate: This is digestate that has not achieved PAS110 certification or is otherwise classified as waste. The transportation, storage, and application of waste digestate are subject to stricter regulatory controls and documentation requirements.
- Farm Scale Digestate: This digestate is produced by on-farm anaerobic digestion plants, often using livestock manures, slurries, and crop feedstocks generated within the farming operation. These systems typically operate on a smaller scale than commercial AD facilities.
- Liquid and Solid Digestates: Liquid digestate is nutrient-rich and commonly applied using tankers and injection systems, while solid digestate has a higher dry matter content and is often spread using manure spreaders to improve soil organic matter.
The Transport and Environment Management Teams oversee the smooth operation of the transport fleet ensuring the continuous movement of digestate from AD plants to our storage network or direct to a spreading team. This ensures uninterrupted operation of the AD plant, allowing AD Investors and Plant Managers to focus on maximising the profitability of their AD Plant.
