    What is feedstock management?

Feedstock management is the process of sourcing, handling, transporting and delivering the right materials to an AD plant, at the right time and to the right specification.

Effective feedstock management is essential to maintaining stable digestion, protecting plant performance and avoiding costly downtime. AWSM Farming supports AD operators by managing feedstock supply end to end – helping ensure consistent inputs, steady process flows and reliable energy output.

The feedstocks hauled by AWSM are predominately Products and By Products from Agriculture and Food Manufacture, including but not limited to the following:

    • Food Soups
    • Slurry
    • Silage
    • Effluent Treatment Plant Sludges
    • Rendering By-Products
    • Whey
    • Feedstocks to seed / reseed digesters and effluent treatment plants.

All materials are managed responsibly to meet plant specifications and regulatory requirements.

    Capacity, fleet & experience

With many years’ experience supporting AD plants across the UK, AWSM Farming has a proven track record of delivering time-critical feedstock supply – no matter the scale or complexity. Currently comprising over 30 tankers and tipper outfits, we’re well positioned to support our growing client base.

    Delivery

AWSM Farming Ltd manages the full logistics chain for feedstock, from collection through to delivery at the AD plant. Our in-house fleet and experienced teams ensure timely, compliant deliveries of all feed stock materials.

    Compliance

Furthermore, to ensure ongoing compliance and traceability with all relevant statutory requirements and current best practice, AWSM has developed and successfully implemented an ‘in house’ App. The App is used to trace individual loads from point of collect to its destination and generate documents legally required to accompany each load, such as Waste Transfer Notes and Commercial Documents.
